Crunchyroll describes Frieren: Beyond Journey's End as:
The magician Frieren defeated the Demon King along with the hero Himmel's party after a 10-year quest. Peace was restored to the kingdom. Because she is an elf, she can live for over a thousand years. She promised Himmel and the others that she would return to meet them and then set off on her own journey.
Fifty years later, Frieren visited Himmel and the others. She hasn't changed, but Himmel and the others have aged and only have parts of their lives left. She then witnesses Himmel's death. Frieren is heartbroken by his desire to spend more time getting to know people. With that regret in her heart, she continued her journey to do just that. On her journey, she meets many people and many events await her.
