The two-part anime film adaptation of Inio Asano’s “Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction” manga has released a new trailer featuring theme songs performed by YOASOBI singer Lilas Ikuta and singer ano.
The first film’s theme song “Zett-Zett-Zett-Zett-Zettai Seiiki” (Absolute Sanctuary Abababab), performed by ano feat. Lilas Ikuta.

The second film’s theme song, “Seishun Ōka” (Hymn of Youth), was performed by Lilas Ikuta. ano.
Slated for release on March 22 and April 19, the films mark the first full anime adaptation of Asano’s work. Ikuta, also known as “ikura”, voices Kadode Koyama and ano voices Ouran “Ontan” Nakagawa.

Directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, with series scripts overseen by Reiko Yoshida, the film features character designs by Nobutake Ito and music by Taro Umebayashi.
The story follows the daily lives of high school girl Kadode Koyama and her friend Ouran Nakagawa in a world where a giant mothership covers Tokyo.
Asano began the manga in 2014, with the final compiled volume releasing in March 2022.

The series has won awards and inspired 3D animated videos. Viz Media is publishing an English version, and Asano’s other works have also been adapted into live-action films.
