The upcoming anime film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid, which marks the end of the high school arc in the Rascal Does Not Dream franchise, has received its first full trailer.
The film’s central mystery revolves around protagonist Sakuta Azusagawa’s encounter with a mysterious young girl who resembles the childlike form of his girlfriend, Mai Sakurajima. There’s some new footage of that strange encounter in the trailer, but most of the preview focuses on other developments in Sakuta’s life, including his sister’s desire to meet her mother and Sakuta’s sudden unrecognizable to classmates.

Does Rascal Do Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid will be released in Japan on December 1. Before that is Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venture Out, which premiered on June 23. Two This film is a sequel to the 2018 film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Bunny Girl Senpai series and the 2019 film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, in which the anime was adapted from a series of light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi.

childhood was published in 2014 and has 13 volumes as of July 2023. The series follows Sakuta helping various girls suffering from a supernatural illness called Adolescent Syndrome, involving to the social problems they encounter in the real world.
