Rock band KOTORI has been revealed as the performer for the ending theme song of the anime Under Ninja, titled “Himitsu”.
The announcement comes with a very brief introduction to the song. The full soundtrack will be released on October 4 JST, slightly earlier than the anime premiere on October 5 (which is at 1:28 a.m. JST October 6).
Under Ninja is based on the manga by Kengo Hanazawa, started in 2018 and has 10 tankoubon volumes as of May 2023. It is serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine and published under the YanMaga KC Special label. RightStuf describes the Denpa-licensed manga as:
A lonely high school student is given the part-time job of his life as a modern-day ninja tasked with carrying out international assassinations.
After World War II, the Allied Command in Japan developed a new agency to help manage terrorism and violence in the Pacific region. This agency has ninjas and they are initially tasked with handling internal affairs. Eventually, that program grew to its current form, managing 20,000 ninjas on a variety of domestic and international assignments. One of those ninjas is Kudo. The loser seventeen-year-old high school student is now ready to become the next line of defense against a potential surge of foreign assassins invading Tokyo.
The anime’s staff includes Satoshi Kuwabara (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, The Dawn of the Witch) as the director, Keiichirou Oochi (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) as the series composer, and Nobuteru Yuuki (Orange) as the series’ composer. character designer and Chihiro Ueno is a secondary character designer. Tezuka Productions is an animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Taito Ban as Kuro Kumogakure, Tarusuke Shingaki as Kato, Tasuku Hatanaka as Miracle Hibi, Atsumi Tanezaki as Suzuki and Daiki Yamashita as Shion Hachiya, Chika Anzai as Kawado, Choo as as Ono, Shuuichi Uchida as Eita and Sora Tokui as Noguchi.
