Exciting news for anime fans, the popular Trillion Game manga series is finally coming to the small screen with a brand new anime adaptation.
Written by Riichiro Inagaki, famous for Eyeshield 21 and Dr. Stone, and illustrated by Ryoichi Ikegami, known for his work on Crying Freeman, the upcoming anime adaptation of the Trillion Game manga that will launch on the Kadokawa streaming platform, shared a special illustration and a trailer to celebrate the announcement.
The 20-second clip features many illustrations of the first episode depicting what’s in store for viewers. The manga’s story revolves around the main characters, Haru and Gaku, who decide to go on a mission. While Haru is confident, quick-witted, and fearless, Gaku is a shy and clumsy computer geek, and the two eventually form a strong friendship.
Fast forward several years, and Gaku, now a college student, struggles to secure a job, hindered by his introverted nature. After accepting a part-time job as a window cleaner at a corporation, he accepts Haru’s offer to start a business together. Thus begins an exciting entrepreneurial journey to earn trillions of dollars and assert dominance over the world’s wealth.
The Trillion Game manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior magazine in December 2020 and continues to attract readers to this day. To date, this manga series has also been released in seven volumes, ensuring the anime will have a longer run. Trillion Game also received a successful television adaptation of the same name, premiering in July 2023.
No official release date has been announced for the Trillion Game anime yet. While waiting, Dr. Stone is set to return with the second part of its third season, New World, on October 12.
