The first look at the Transformers: Legacy Cybertron Universe Vector Prime figure has been revealed. Recreating the ancient Autobot from the 2005 Transformers anime, Vector Prime once again brings the mission of the Electronic Planet Key to the toy aisles.
This figure is one of many toys in the Legacy: United series, which pulls familiar (and original) Transformers from various continuities. The Transformers: Cybertron timeline has many representatives beyond Vector Prime, including a new toy for the series called Starscream. The same goes for the entire Unicron anime series, which is now over two decades old.

Vector Prime flies into Transformers: Legacy toy line
The first look at Transformers: Legacy Voyager Class Vector Prime shows off a toy heavily inspired by his appearance in the Transformers: Cybertron anime. Seemingly an extended retooling of the Transformers: Generation 2 character Jhiaxus, whose toys were recently released in the Legacy line, Vector Prime transforms from a robot into an ancient Cybertronian spaceship. He also wields a powerful sword cast in translucent blue. Like the original character, this version of Vector is a Traveler Class, placing him below the Leader/Superclass persona but above the Deluxe class.
In Transformers: Cybertron (known as Transformers: Galaxy Force in Japan), Vector Prime is a Transformer from Cybertron's distant past. As a messenger of the god Primus, watcher of time and space, he arrives in the present and aids Optimus Prime's forces as they seek to stop Megatron from collecting the Electronic Planet Key. Subsequent incarnations established him as one of the original 13 Transformers/Primes; he is also considered by some to be an homage to The Last Autobot from the Marvel Transformers comics. He has a Mini-Con counterpart named Safeguard, although the Legacy figure appears to lack this smaller Transformer.

Transformers: Legacy brought new life to the characters in the Unicron trilogy
The Unicron trilogy includes Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron, although the latter (at least for its Japanese equivalent) was originally intended to be a separate continuity. All of these shows have a specific gimmick, from the tiny Mini-Con faction to the Transformers, all of which combine or activate special powers and weapons through their “Cyber Keys.” . The anime itself has had mixed reviews, with Transformers: Energon being considered second only to the controversial Beast Machines: Transformers. However, Transformers: Cybertron is largely considered the best film in the trilogy, especially as the series nears its end.
Several Unicron Trilogy characters have had new toys released in the Transformers: Legacy line that faithfully recreate their original designs and action figures for modern fans. These include Optimus Prime, Hot Shot, Starscream, Megatron and the giant Tidal Wave from the Armada and Vector Prime, Hot Shot, Starscream and Metroplex from Cybertron. The core-class character Megatron is the only representative of Transformers: Energon, possibly due to the series' unpopularity. Transformers: Armada was released in 2002, making the Unicron trilogy over 20 years old.
