While the series is coming to an end and the manga is finished publishing, Attack on Titan fans are still getting new content through an upcoming art book.
Account new material. The book will also include an 18-page special volume of Isayama’s latest series, Akudo. “I am honored,” Isayama said in a letter to Shonen Magazine. “I am delighted that the culmination of everything I have done so far has been compiled into a book.”
The Attack on Titan FLY art book, released on November 30 in Japan, collects every color illustration for Attack on Titan that Isayama made for manga covers, promotional events, or full-color merchandise, plus with side-by-side comparisons to Isayama’s original line work before coloring. However, Art Book FLY is being sold as a subscription title, meaning that only users who pre-order before the release date will receive a copy.
Aside from several brochures of the manga containing featured drawings, Art Book FLY is the first – and arguably last – official art book collecting Isayama’s iconic work. This is truly a celebration of the manga’s 13-year legacy that honors Isayama’s work, which he also notes that various colorants helped provide color to many of the works featured in the book.
After the decade-long anime series based on the manga finally ended this year with the final segment of the series’ final season, the new pages of Attack on Titan Episode 35 will give fans one more the story content before the series. ‘sure ending. Isayama recently seemed to confirm his work on a new story set in the Attack on Titan universe, although little is known about what this might entail.
As the art book also reveals, Isayama recently began work on a brand new manga series called Akudo, although he has not publicly announced what the story or characters in the series might involve. The title of the series has been translated to “Bad Boy” in English.
