The Shinei Animation team, responsible for bringing Tetsuko Kuroyanagi’s autobiographical memoir “Totto-Chan: The Girl at the Window” to life on the anime adaptation, recently shared interesting details.
They announced that Aimyon will perform the mesmerizing theme song titled “Ano ne”. Additionally, TOHO treats fans to an exciting new trailer that gives a glimpse of this mesmerizing theme song.

Along with this announcement, an eye-catching visual was also revealed, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film’s release. In the movie, the role of Totto-chan will be played by talented 7-year-old girl Liliana Ohno.

Mark your calendars as this highly anticipated film is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on December 8. The film is in the hands of talented director Shinnosuke Yakuwa, who is known for his works like “Eiga Doremon: Shin Nobita no Daimakyō – Peko to 5-nin no Tankentai,” “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016,” and “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Chronicle of the Moon Expedition.” Yakuwa also co-wrote the script with Yōsuke Suzuki, famous for Pazudora. Character design duties were assigned to the talented Shizue Kaneko, who has previously worked on projects such as “Monster Strike The Movie”, “Adachi and Shimamura” and “How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord ”.
Kuroyanagi’s memoir beautifully recounts her journey to Tomoe Gakuen, the school she attended after feeling out of place in her first elementary school. There, she meets an interesting group of students and begins a remarkable academic journey, while Japan grapples with wartime chaos.
First published in Japan in 1981, Kuroyanagi’s memoir quickly became the best-selling national publication the following year.

It earned its status as a required book for Japanese elementary school students in the 1980s and was also translated into many different languages, including English, attracting readers worldwide.
