Science SARU’s Scott Pilgrim anime adaptation has released its third trailer ahead of its November 17 release, exclusively on Netflix. Abel Góngora will direct the series.

Science SARU President and CEO Eunyoung Choi is the show’s producer. Edgar Wright, Nira Park, Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, Adam Seigel and Michael Bacall will also executive produce the series. The anime adaptation for Scott Pilgrim was first announced in January 2022 and focuses on the story of part-time musician Scott Pilgrim, who lives in Toronto, Ontario and plays bass in a band. One day, he falls in love with American delivery girl Ramona Flowers, but he must defeat Flowers’ seven evil exes to properly date her.
The series began with six black-and-white volumes, initially released by manga publisher Oni Press. The graphic novels were later republished by HarperCollins’Fourth Estate and available in full color through Nathan Fairbairn, running from August 2012 to April 2014.
Several spin-off games come from the franchise, including the game Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Chengdu in 2010. Despite being delisted in 2014, the game was re-released titled Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition on January 14, 2021.
