Some say that Sukuna will be defeated or at least injured, others say that he will win and kill both Higuruma and Yuji, since he is already victorious over Gojo and Kashimo.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s manga has had its fair share of twists and turns since the Shibuya Incident ended, with the latest arc showing off some major confrontations with Sukuna. King of Curses has defeated two main characters, and soon there will be two more characters, Yuji and Higuruma. The question of whether these theories have any weight is a valid one, and therefore requires analysis and examination.
Sukuna’s victories give rise to theories about Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239
Theory 1: Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239 will lead to the deaths of Higuruma and Yuji
As for the villains, Sukuna has continued to rack up victory after victory in the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239 . He killed Satoru Gojo in Chapter 236, in a way that some described as extremely contrived, as some ridiculous powers were quickly demonstrated. He escaped from Kashimo in Chapter 238 after an argument about love.
There are some suggestions that he will continue to win thanks to his incredible strength that has been built up and shown to audiences more times than can be counted. He is extremely fast and has many techniques that often guarantee him victory in one form or another, such as against Jogo during the Shibuya Incident.
It is shown that, in Yuji’s body, he can still resist special level curses like Jogo and others without much problem. This leads to the idea of Sukuna having another trick up his sleeve involving his Shrine of Evil , among other abilities that he can use in Megumi’s body.
Theory 2: Sukuna was defeated or injured
Another theory put forward is the opposite extreme: Sukuna was either injured by what was about to happen, or killed by the combination of Higuruma and Yuji. This leads to a simple extrapolation in the analysis of Sukuna: he’s basically a shallow person intentionally written that way to counterbalance Yuji Itadori.
Basically, Sukuna does not or cannot understand the idea of anything other than his own selfishness as his criticism of Kashimo in Chapter 238 makes very clear. He is a villain, pure and simple, who only sees himself as someone worth living and anything else as a bug that needs to be squashed. He doesn’t care about anyone else or about anything else.
So why did Yuji make him angry or make him lose his temper and why did everyone believe he would win in the end? Simple: Yuji doesn’t play Sukuna’s game the way Gojo or Kashimo does. Sukuna was always frustrated with Yuji, about how he was able to restrain him and why he kept getting up and having his friends help him. This can mess up Sukuna and lead to failure Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239.
Theory 3: No one else dies in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 239
The third theory being floated is the idea that no one else will die, or that only Higuruma will be defeated or injured. It’s more of a meta theory than anything else, because otherwise the story would be going into villainous and antihero territory with Kenjaku vs. Sukuna . Although some fans expressed a desire to see that, many others wanted the story to not go into that.
Sukuna had to push himself to his limits to kill both Gojo and Kashimo and nearly died several times while fighting both. Higuruma, despite overcoming many witches and curses, almost died in this conflict. Yuji Itadori , worthy of being a shounen protagonist, came close to death many times in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Simply put, this third school of thought disregards the idea of the “strongest person ever” that so many Shounen manga have done before and is focusing on storytelling.
It is thought that both Higuruma and Yuji may have been injured because of this. Sukuna dying here to make way for Kenjaku’s plan is typical, but not as early Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239.
Since Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 239 releases in 11 days, fans are still theorizing about how things will play out. With all the deaths that occurred at the hands of Sukuna, including that of Megumi’s sister, the death or defeat of the Cursed King was inevitable. The only question is how and when, since Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239 will probably take place too soon after the arc just started with the Gojo fight.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239 eagerly awaited to see whether Higuruma’s territorial expansion could potentially collide with Sukuna or Sukuna being sucked into it. One thing is certain: the Cursed King will not be taken down without a fight. The threat of Kenjaku is also imminent, but Sukuna needs to overcome it first.
