Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed the latest poster for the upcoming animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in North America on December 13, 2024.

Kenji Kamiyama (co-director of Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) will direct the film, with a script by Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou. The screenplay is based on an original story from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, showrunners Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews. Sola Entertainment is producing the film.
The film's main voice cast includes:

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim was released and distributed by Warner Bros.'s New Line Cinema production division, which describes the main story arc as:
Set 183 years before the events of the original trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” tells the fate of House Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A surprise attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a last stand in the ancient stronghold of Hornburg—a mighty fortress that would later become known as Helm’s Deep. Finding themselves in increasingly desperate straits, Helm’s daughter Héra must summon the will to lead the resistance against a dangerous enemy bent on their complete destruction.
