A new theatrical PV trailer has been released for the upcoming second season of The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors. The first 12-episode season will premiere on April 5, 2024 after the show was shown in theaters from October 27, 2023 to January 5, 2024.

Before the upcoming fall 2024 release of the second part, it will be shown in three parts in theaters in Japan, with the first part releasing on July 5, 2024, the second part on May 23. 8, 2024 and the third part on September 20, 2024.
Mankyuu will return to direct the second film alongside Takeshi Iwata (previously assistant director and CG director). Susumu Sagai will return as CG director, Yoichi Kato as series writer and scenario writer, and Ryohei Fukushi as character designer. Lantis is again credited as a music producer. Polygon Pictures is again in charge of producing animated films.
The animation features idols from STARS lighting units, L'Antica, Houkago Climax Girls, ALSTROEMERIA and Straylight. Other characters include 283 production employee Hazuki Nanakusa (voiced by Hibiku Yamamura) and 283 president Tsutomu Amai (Kenjiro Tsuda).
The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors is inspired by the video game of the same name. was released on the enza website on April 24, 2018, and on Android and iOS on March 13, 2019. The game has the player taking on the role of a new producer at 283 Production, who is in charge of many idols different.
