In honor of the Season 4 Season 4 finale, Attack on Titan will receive its first anime plane from Star Flyer, scheduled to launch in November.
The next airline that is considered an anime is the Japanese Star Flyer service. The service will feature an Attack on Titan-inspired plane that will take to the skies in November 2023 in honor of the series’ Season 4 finale.

On September 12, the official Attack on Titan website revealed that a plane inspired by the popular anime series will take off in November 2023.
Featured on This Plane are various characters from the first seasons of the Attack on Titan anime: Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, Sasha, Marco, Jean, Connie, and Historia.
The plane will be known as the Star Flyer’s ‘Titan Attack Special Jet’ and will begin flying passengers to various destinations on November 4, the same day as the Season finale 4 Season 4 aired worldwide.
This will be the first collaborative jet design for the Attack on Titan franchise and will operate on all Star Flyer routes, including those from Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

Star Flyer has recently been in the headlines for offering passengers under 26 an ‘all you can’-fly’ monthly package for under $300, which will be a significant saving for passengers traveling between Tokyo and the airline’s headquarters in Kitakyushu.

Anime planes are a thing and extremely lucrative
The Star Flyer may be the first major aviation collaboration in the Attack on Titan series, but themed planes have actually been popular in Japan for some time – and have proven to be extremely successful from both a business and marketing perspective.
The most famous example is the Demon Slayer franchise, which has put three anime-inspired planes into service over the past few years.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) launched its third Painted Plane featuring images from the popular series in September 2022, after two more themed planes were launched in January and March of the same year.
Inside the plane there is also Demon Slayer inspired service with in-flight announcements of Tanjiro, Rengoku and Tengen, as well as new anime episodes available for passengers to watch. Flight attendants also wear Nezuko-inspired uniforms and the seats feature Tanjiro’s checkerboard-patterned lining.
Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, ANA Customer Experience Planning and Management noted at the time, “The latest ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ inspired livery is dedicated to exclusively for the return of delivering exciting and unique travel experiences to our passengers. This collaboration highlights Japan’s rich pop culture and delivers a desirable in-flight experience.”

Attack on Titan joins a select group of anime that will be shown on commercial aircraft, and the Season 4 finale will premiere on the same day as the special jet, November 4.
