A new trailer has been released for The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store, offering another look at the anime film’s colorful visuals and vibrant animations ahead of its release in Japan on the 20th. October. The trailer also serves as a preview for the film’s catchy theme song, “Gift” by Myuk.

Support staff at Hokkyoku Department Store based on the manga published by Shogakukan Tsuchika Nishimura, who received the 25th Manga Division Excellence Award of the Japan Media Arts Festival. The Japan Media Arts Festival describes the manga as follows:
“All kinds of animals, even somewhat exotic ones, visit the department store where I work.” Akino is the new concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store, where all the customers are animals. This is a series of short stories, depicting Akino’s growth as she learns about the psychology of a concierge through her work. At this particular department store staffed by humans and animal customers, extinct animals come to consult with the sales staff about the items they are looking for or the problems they encounter. As Akino skillfully solves customer problems with a smile, her sincerity gradually calms down the difficult customers.
Yoshimi Itazu (Welcome to the Ballroom) is directing the film adaptation at IG production with Satomi Ooshima (Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko, Raven of the Inner Palace series composer) as screenwriter and Chie Morita (Run With The End Ep 17, 21 and 23 co-animator) as character designer and animation director.
