Let’s start with the flashback where Adam Sargant met Iris many years ago. Under orders from Lizbeth’s mother, Adam was tasked with torturing Iris by placing curses and poisons in her body.
However, Iris proves her defiance by headbutting Adam. This really hit Adam in the head because instead of being used as a tool by his mother, Adam decided to live for himself as he ran away with Iris and started a family with the birth of Philomela.
What an interesting love story between Adam and Iris where even though the latter asserted his defiance of the former, Adam found that special someone with whom he will live until the day he dies .
And after fleeing to a far away place, Philomela Sargant was born. For Adam and Iris, having children of their own and living together peacefully is the best thing ever.
It’s great that even though parenting is difficult, Adam and Iris still cherish every moment as they tell Alcyone to record everything for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, their peaceful life will be cut short.
Lizbeth’s soldiers arrived to take Adam back to the mansion. Then again, he wouldn’t give in to his mother’s demands without a fight.
But the worst part is when the landlady Sargant sends another group of goons to kidnap Philomela and make their daughter a hostage.
Of course, Iris won’t let anyone touch her daughter when she told Alcyone to get Philomela away from Lizbeth as she tried to fend them off.
But let’s go back to Adam Sargant, where he decides to put a bullet in his own head as the ultimate act of defiance against his evil mother Lizbeth.
Even if he committed suicide, I think Lizbeth would find a way to revive his son and use Adam as an extension of her power.
Meanwhile, it seems like Iris can’t fend off Lizbeth’s henchmen no matter how many bullets she fires straight into their bodies. Of course, she tries to slow them down so Philomela and Alcyone can finally escape…
…only for the goons to catch them, and so began years of suffering for Philomela as she was used and abused by Lizbeth Sargant. What a tragic ending to this love story.
Now let’s move to the present and remember the woman from the previous episode, shall we? It was the Goddess of Winter when she came here to meet Chise Hatori.
Why? Because she wants Chise’s body as a sacrifice but Elias Ainsworth will not give his bride to someone else.
Of course, with Chise’s desire to save Philomela Sargant, the Goddess of Winter decides to help the sleigh to beg for the time being, although she wishes Chise would donate something precious at some point to after.
Now, it seems like Lizbeth’s minions try to stop Chise’s chanting, but Elias creates a wall of thorns to protect his bride until she finishes singing.
But thanks to Chise Hatori, it seems the Goddess of Winter is ready for battle where she summons an army of soldiers.
Not only that, the Goddess of Winter also changed her hair in blood red when she revealed herself as Morrigan.
While carrying a child in her womb, Morrigan is a dangerous goddess who craves war wherever she goes.
And sadly for Lizbeth’s minions, it was almost a death sentence as they were slaughtered without any resistance.
Worse? They ran away in fear because they could not defeat Morrigan. However, I’m glad that Morrigan lent her strength at this crucial moment.
Anyway, it’s time for Elias Ainsworth to get the students and Fabio Zaccheroni out of his body. Glad their sanity remains intact.
Now comes the difficult part as the Sargant mansion is over there and it will be very difficult to save Philomela because there are many different traps in the house.
Oh, and don’t forget the various monsters guarding the mansion now that the female wolf has returned. Unfortunately, the werewolf made the mistake of taking out Zoe Ivy’s headphones because he would have frozen the werewolf in place.
While I praised his bravery, I worried that Zoe Ivy might fall into battle because there were no classmates to support him. And don’t expect Fabio Zaccheroni to help Zoe because he has some hidden agenda.
Anyway, we are approaching the climax of this story arc where Chise Hatori will confront the matriarch of the Sargant family and rescue Philomela by any other means. Well then, see you next time!
