Solo Leveling's first season ended successfully but there are still quite a few questions Solo Leveling Season 2 of anime need to answer.
Solo Leveling is one of the most successful shows of 2024 and it has cemented its place as one of the top mainstream shounen anime. The anime is adapted from the manhwa of the same name and is the most successful anime based on the manhwa to date. Thanks to its huge success, Solo Leveling was renewed for a second season.
The final episode of Solo Leveling was a highly anticipated episode and the finale lived up to expectations. Episode 12 is a continuation of the Job Transformation Round and features the most anticipated moment of the series: Jinwoo uses his new power as a Necromancer and orders Igris to “rise,” transforming him become part of his army of darkness.
Despite the surprising ending, the story has only come a short way and has a long way to go. So, it makes sense that there will be a lot of unanswered questions in the anime's second season, titled Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow. So, fans are hoping to get answers to these questions in Solo Leveling Season 2 .
6. What is Jinwoo's strength as a Necromancer?
The biggest moment of Solo Leveling Season 1 was when Jinwoo received the Necromancer profession after defeating Igris and the knights and magicians. Although the final episode of this course ends with the much-awaited “rise” moment, it doesn't give much of a chance to demonstrate the full power that Jinwoo now holds as a Necromancer.
Fans can look forward to finding out exactly what Jinwoo is capable of with his new Necromancer ability in Solo Leveling Season 2. The upcoming season's title also hints at Jinwoo's new-found powers.
Those who have read the manhwa know what happens next when Jinwoo recruits Igris as the first soldier in his army of darkness. But anime fans will be surprised to see the full extent of the Necromancer's abilities.
5. What happened to Choi Jong-in on Jeju Island?
Choi Jong-in is one of Korea's few S-rank hunters and is currently one of the strongest hunters in anime. He is the guild master of the Hunter Guild, which shows his strength as a hunter. In the first part of the anime, an ongoing plot with Jong-in is his determination to return to Jeju Island.
Through the anime, he is shown to be tormented by whatever happened to him and his comrades during the third raid on Jeju Island that occurred in the past. The anime gives brief hints that he and his teammates were both severely traumatized but never explicitly reveals exactly what happened back then.
Towards the end of the anime, Jong-in gathers his S-rank hunters and is allowed to return to Jeju Island. What happens next and what happened in Jong-in's past on the island may be revealed in the sequel. So, fans can expect this to be one of the questions that will be answered in Solo Leveling Season 2.
4. What is the purpose of the System?
The core of the Solo Leveling plot was the existence of the System and Jinwoo as a participant in it. This mysterious system appeared after Jinwoo was given a second chance following his death in the Double Dungeon. After waking up in the hospital, Jinwoo finds himself bound to the System that gives him challenges and quests to level up.
Even though it is a core part of the plot, almost nothing is revealed about the System in the anime. This made fans wonder what the System's purpose was and why the System chose Jinwoo as a participant. There must be a reason behind it giving Jinwoo all the opportunities to become stronger.
Manhwa readers already know the answer to this question. However, for anime-only fans, the System's purpose is the series' biggest mystery. Hopefully Solo Leveling Season 2 will answer this question.
3. Who is the statue of God?
Solo Leveling doesn't take long to jump into the good parts. From the very first episode, the anime made it clear that something amazing was about to happen, and a big part of it was the appearance of the series' first villain: the Statue of God with that creepy smile. .
The God Statue appears to be the final boss of the Double Dungeon and the culprit behind the massacre of the hunters. Its presence resulted in Jinwoo being killed and reawakening as a System participant. This implies that there must be a connection between the System and the God Statue.
Although the Statue of God did not appear in later episodes after the Double Dungeon Arc ended, it left fans asking: Who is the Statue of God? That is a question that needs to be answered in the next course.
2. Where is Jinwoo's father?
From the beginning, it was clear that family was very important to Jinwoo. Even though he is a weak E-rank hunter, he still perseveres in paying his mother's hospital bills and his sister's tuition. However, it should be noted that there is someone missing in Jinwoo's family.
There was no mention of Jinwoo's father as to why he was the way he was or what happened to him. It's reasonable to guess that his father died many years ago or may not be in the picture.
Fans who have read the manhwa know that it is an important plot point that will appear later in the story. As for the anime, it would be quite interesting if this question about Jinwoo's father is answered in Part 2.
1. What will Hwang Dongsoo do?
After starting to level up, Jinwoo soon discovered that not only monsters were on his list of enemies; Humans are equally dangerous. He learned this lesson in the Dungeon and Lizard Arc, where Hwang Dongsuk and his group plotted to kill Jinwoo and Jinho. This was also the first time Jinwoo killed someone.
Dongsuk's death led to his brother Dongsoo, an S-rank hunter contracted to America, intending to kill Jinwoo and Jinho. However, the anime ended without any developments on that plot, leaving fans wondering what Dongsoo will do next to kill Jinwoo.
This is one of the questions that will definitely be answered in Solo Leveling Season 2. It will be awesome to see Jinwoo fight the S-rank hunter.
The release date of Solo Leveling Season 2 is yet to be determined. But hopefully Crunchyroll will soon announce when the next season of the anime will premiere.
