The fourth promotional video for the film project Mobile Suit Gun Seed FREEDOM was released on Sunday. The video announces and introduces the title song Freedom by Takanori Nishikawa (artist also known as TM Revolution) and producer t.komuro (Tetsuya Komuro).
Nishikawa previously performed the theme songs for the television anime Mobile Suit Gun Seed FREEDOM and its spin-offs, while Komuro is a member of the band TM Network which performed the ending theme song for Mobile Suit GTA: Char’s CounterAttack movies.

The film will open in Japan on January 26, 2024. The story is set in CE (Space Age) 75.
Mobile Suit Gun Seed director Mitsuo Fukuda is directing the film at Bandai Namco Filmworks. Fukuda also co-wrote the script with his late wife Chiaki Morosawa and Liu Goto. Hisashi Hirai (Mobile Suit Gun Seed) is designing the characters.

The film project is part of the Mobile Suit GTA Seed Project launch initiative, announced in 2021. The initiative celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original Anime Mobile Suit GTA Seed in 2022 and There are several sections. The initiative also includes a new Mobile Suit Gunden Seed game and spin-off manga Mobile Suit Gun Seed Eclipse.
Mobile Suit Gun Seed director Mitsuo Fukuda has confirmed that the film is a sequel to the second Gun Seed anime, Mobile SuitGundam Seed Destiny.
The first Mobile Suit Gunma Seed television series aired from 2002 to 2003, followed by Mobile Suit Gunma Seed Destiny from 2004 to 2005. The three-part Mobile Suit Gunma Seed CE73: Stargazer anime project followed In 2006 Sony Music Anime Festival’06 announced a film scheduled for May 2006.
Chiaki Morosawa, the main writer of the two Gun Seed anime films, passed away at the age of 56 in 2016. She worked together with her husband, who directed both Gun Seed television series, on the project. A film project has been planned about Gun Seed. Morosawa explained in 2008 that the project’s plot had been completed, but she had been ill since Mobile Suit sequel GTA Seed Destiny ended in 2005.
