The key visual and PV trailer have been revealed for the upcoming second chapter of Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199. The 26-episode anime series is divided into seven chapters for theatrical release, with the second part set to premiere in Japan on November 22, 2024.

The second film is also known in Japanese as Yamato yo Towa ni: REBEL 3199 Dainisho: Sekijitsu no Shutsugeki. The remake series is currently playing in theaters in Japan, with chapter one, Kuro no Shinryaku, set to premiere on July 19, 2024.
Naomichi Yamato (Macross Delta: Zettai Live!!!!!! assistant director) is directing Space Battleship Yamato 3199, with Harutoshi Fukui (Space Battleship Yamato 2205, Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) serving as writer, co-writer, and director. Studio Mother is the main animation production company, with Satelight assisting with production.

Space Battleship Yamato 3199 is a new sequel project to Uchu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi – The Kosho-STASHA Movie-, which was released in Japan in February 2022.
The original Space Battleship Yamato television series aired in Japan from 1974 to 1975 and inspired several subsequent series and films, including the 1980 film Yamato yo Towa ni. The anime remake series began with Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 in 2012-2013.

In the year 2207, two years after Gamilas and Iscandar disappeared, a massive object, the “Grand Reverse,” appears, easily breaching Earth’s defenses.
