The key visual, PV trailer, and new opening theme have been revealed for the upcoming Kagaku × Boken Survival! Television anime series. The anime will begin airing in Japan on October 5, 2024 with a total of 21 episodes.

The trailer also introduces the main voice cast including:
• Satsumi Matsuda as Jio • Megumi Han as Pipi • Akira Ishida as Kei • Hiroshi Iwasaki as Professor Nou • Mikako Komatsu as Daiya • Yumi Uchiyama as Marley • Rie Kugimiya as Kyuri • Yoko Hikasa as Professor Kuo
Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) will direct the anime, with Isao Murayama (Toriko, Bakugan) serving as series writer, Gil-bo Noh (Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) as composer. Gallop is handling animation production for the series.
An anime film adaptation of the Jintai no Survival episode of the series was released in 2020. Another anime film, Shinkai no Survival followed in 2021. Both were produced by Toei Animation with Gallop.
The anime is based on the long-running colorful South Korean manhwa series, which is published in Japan under the name Kagaku Manga Survival. The manhwa has been published by I-seum since 2008 and was written by Hyun Dong Han and Jung Wook Kim. MiraeN publishes the series as a webtoon, while Asahi Shimbun Publications publishes the series in Japan. No Starch Press publishes some volumes of the manga in English.

Kagaku × Boken Survival! will follow a group of kids in various survival situations while learning about real-life scientific connections. Some of the topics explored in the series include weather, insects, viruses, AI, Antarctica, dinosaurs, and the energy crisis.
