In the Solo Leveling series, “The System” — the mysterious, all-encompassing program used by protagonist Jinwoo Sung — is an integral part of what sets the series apart from other dark fantasy games. Now, one dedicated Redditor has taken it upon himself to create a real-life version that’s “as close to the anime version as possible.”
A Redditor named Dangerous-Patient506 started this ambitious fan project about two months ago, which reworks the System’s interface into a “game-style self-improvement” program that provides “missions” based on specific daily goals. Using Python programming software and the open-source tool Blender, they recreated each of the System’s digital interfaces, including the Status screen, Daily Update/Quest Info, Notification box, Inventory screen, and Equipment. As shown below, examples of Daily Missions typically include tasks like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. It can also chart progress for non-fitness-related activities, such as hours of sleep or number of chapters of books read each day. Due to the in-depth nature of the program, Dangerous-Patient506 reports that it took “60 to 70 hours” to complete, with work still in progress.

Solo Leveling's 'New' System Is Designed to Closely Match the Anime
In addition to being given daily “self-improvement” missions, users also receive Mission Rewards based on what they complete. Like Jinwoo Sung, users are awarded points for stats like Strength, Intelligence, and Endurance as they progress, as well as gold, experience points, and titles associated with new stats. Daily mission rewards also change as users continue to “level up.” Additionally, the Inventory and Equipment screens feature item icons from the chapter. However, Dangerous-Patient506 claims that these specific assets are borrowed from other sources, which will be credited individually after the chapter is completed and released.
Another interesting element is the Job system. Depending on how one completes quests or allocates stat points, one can earn various job titles. Additionally, the Access Code screen allows users to enter specific codes for certain jobs. At least one of these Jobs — “Shadow Monarch” — is taken directly from the Solo Leveling anime series. As fans of the show will recall, Shadow Monarch is the title Jinwoo Sung earns after completing the “Job Change” quest in the series’ thrilling finale.
