On June 3 in Japan, SHUEISHA's MANGA Plus, a popular manga platform, was pleased to announce that it has surpassed 28,000,000 app downloads as of May 2024. This milestone comes just over 5 years since the service launched.
To celebrate this milestone achievement, MANGA Plus is introducing a new limited-time feature that allows users to support their favorite manga creators by watching ads. The feature is available in all nine languages supported on the app and can be accessed by users worldwide.

Starting June 3, at 12 noon (JST) or 3 am (GMT), users will have the option to watch ads after reading a chapter on the MANGA Plus app.
A portion of the advertising revenue generated will be distributed directly to the respective comic creators. This initiative aims to highlight and support manga creators who pour their heart and soul into their work.
It also provides foreign readers with a direct way to show their support and bridge the gap between them and manga authors. This initiative is possible because MANGA Plus is a service directly run by the editorial team in Japan.
