Ryo Konoan anime art director who worked on titles like Devilman Crybaby and Mob Psycho 100, has passed away.
A recent post on Kono's X (formerly Twitter) account, made by her nephew, said she passed away suddenly on October 23 JST. The suspected cause is gastrointestinal bleeding.
Kono, real name is Hiromi Konois a native of Tokyo and has been involved in the anime industry since at least the 1980s. Her profile is on her website. Madhouse stating that the first Madhouse work that Kono worked on was Genma Taisen in 1983.
