The fantasy worlds of Sailor Moon and Star Wars collide in a gorgeous cosplay combo.
Created and posted on Reddit by mochi_fett, the Sailor Endor cosplay imagines what the galactic guardian for the moon in the woods would look like. The outfit has brown and gold tones and includes a pair of cute fluffy ears. Endor is one of the notable locations in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
Naoko Takeuchi’s Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon manga ran in Kodansha’s shojo magazine Nakayoshi from 1991 to 1997. The story follows middle school student Usagi Tsukino, who gains the mystical powers of the moon through a deep connection. colored with the legendary Silver Crystal. Using her powers to fight evil forces from across the galaxy, the magical girl meets and befriends many other space-themed warriors.
With over 46 million copies sold worldwide, Sailor Moon is one of the best-selling manga series in history, and even though the series ended nearly decades ago, it continues to play role as the foundation of the popular culture scene. In particular, cosplay thrives in the Sailor Moon fanbase with many of the characters from the series inspiring cases of dramatic costume creation; For example, several other Reddit users shared their garish colors of the two closest teammates of the titular guardian – Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars.

There have been other recent developments to the classic shojo franchise beyond cosplay. Available for pre-order on Sideshow, the Eternal Tiare Prop retails for $210 and is expected to begin shipping in March 2024. Tamashii Nations has also announced its new Eternal Sailor Moon statue, depicting depicts the leader of the Inner Scouts wielding her mighty staff and reaching the pinnacle of her potential.
Furthermore, the newest film duo in the series – Sailor Moon Cosmos – debuted both parts in June. Adapted from the “Shadow Galactica” installment from Takeuchi’s manga, the films show Usagi and her allies. Team up with the Sailor Starlights to defeat the villainous Sailor Galaxia once and for all.
