A lot of fantasy shows rely on viewers’ natural knowledge of other shows of the same genre to craft their worlds with as little effort as possible. Are there scenes that give off a feeling like “Of course there are horses everywhere and all we eat is meat, have you never seen Isekai”? However, leaving out the parts that the show hasn’t done so far but might do in the future, this has been surprisingly solid and, unusual for shows like this, has mapped out in a way that makes the world feel dynamic.

The world wouldn’t work without these kids. However, it would be very formulaic and dull without them. That’s a good sign! The world building is amazing, but it still needs the perspective of these somewhat extraordinary students to be worth seeing. So when these characters take the time to discuss things that aren’t as interesting, the movie struggles with that. However, that’s not the point in this episode. This is a very enjoyable episode that contains the best that this series has to offer.
The suspect we saw in the previous episode makes an ostentatious appearance in this episode, revealing himself to be Mr. Rossi and challenging every member of his class, especially the group of six friends, to participate participate in a competition where the strongest of them will come out on top. He’s a decent character that you could say was made for redemption at the end of this season, as his design would have gone to waste if things had turned out differently and his quirky personality. suitable for a teenage supporting character.

The action sequences in this episode are great, as it delves into the specifics of the one-step, one-action magic combat featured in most episodes. It’s a very interesting system that can lead to and has led to some great scenes. Oliver teaching Pete is a great way to give the audience nuances of certain techniques, and it also takes us straight to the head-to-head with Mr. Rossi, starting right from the different techniques. used and mastered by students. It’s natural and makes a lot of sense.
Reign of the Seven Spellblades Episode 8 also sees Oliver’s true goal mentioned, a long time coming. The pacing of the show is slow and deliberate, and at the same time has great appeal. So much so that it would be sad to see it end without making much progress on the main plot. However, a lot of good can’t be a bad thing and there isn’t much negative to say about this episode. It was a very enjoyable viewing and introduced a great plot element.
Verdict
Reign of the Seven Spellblades Episode 8 is one of the more exciting episodes of the show with a better look at battle and a fun new character to boot.
