The agency received complaints about power & sexual harassment and financial troubles at Nakamura's private school
Image via thetv.jp Voice talent agency 81 Produce announced on Friday that it has canceled the contract with voice actor Daiki Nakamura effective March 21, after the company received complaints of harassment power, sexual harassment, and financial trouble at Yume Kōbō, a private training school personally founded and operated by Nakamura.
According to the agency, its employees were unaware that Nakamura had opened this private school until they received a complaint. The company said it confirmed the truth behind Nakamura's own complaints and therefore decided to cancel his contract.
The agency sincerely apologized for the incident and assured that it would continue to investigate the complaints, even after Nakamura canceled the contract, and responded to those involved in the allegations.
Nakamura is known for playing Shingo Mori in After WarGundam When the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers adaptation of the Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger series was imported back to Japan, Nakamura voiced the role of Jason of Austin St. John into Japanese.
Nakamura also voices the character Haohmaru in the game The King of Fighters XV, launching in October 2022.
