The Pokemon Horizon anime series announced four more cast members on Saturday during the Anime Japan 2024 event. The series first revealed a short trailer featuring the new characters and their voice actors. You can check it out below:
The voice actors will play the Elite Four of the Paldea region, who were introduced in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. New characters will appear in the third chapter of the Pokemon Horizon: Terastal Debut series. The cast of Elite Four is as follows:
- Mitsuki Saiga (Opera – Marimashita! Iruma-kun's) as Rika
- Miria Takagishi (Popo – Otakuchanzu) as drug
- Kosuke Toriumi (Nozel – Black Clover) as Larry
- Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya – Bleach) as Hassel
Following the announcement, the Pokemon anime released a message from each cast member. The messages can be seen on the official X/Twitter account of the Pokemon anime series.
Pokemon Horizon is a new anime series for the Pokemon franchise and a successor to the original Pokemon anime series. It began airing its first story arc in April 2023 and features two main characters, a girl named Riko and a boy named Roy. They both join an adventuring group called the Rising Volt Tacklers and travel across the regions to solve the mystery of Riko's pendant and Roy's Pokeball. The series currently has 3 story arcs with the third, Terastal Debut, scheduled to air on April 12, 2024. The first story arc of Pokemon Horizon is also currently streaming on Netflix in both English dubbing and subtitles.
The Pokémon franchise began in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Blue for the Gameboy console. Since then, it has grown into a multimedia franchise that includes games, comics, TCG, movies, and anime series. The franchise has 122 known games including the recent Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and the upcoming Pokemon game Legends ZA scheduled for release in 2025. The franchise also has two anime series including the recent anime series, Pokémon Horizons.
