YuruYuri’s upcoming spin-off films, Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters and Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends, will include Sumire Uesaka, Nao Touyama and >Aoi Yuuki among the supporting cast.
A new announcement revealed that the three will play the Oomuro siblings’ classmate, Nadeshiko. Uesaka will voice Megumi Sonokawa, while Touyama and Yuuki will voice Ai Miwa and Miho Yaeno, respectively.
Last month, we learned that the Oomuro-ke movie’s supporting cast will include Reo Kurachi as Kokoro Ogawa, Ayasa Itou as Mirai Soma, Aoi Koga as Misaki, and Suzuko Mimori as Himawari Furutani (who returns from main series). The voice actors for the Oomuro sisters are Emiri Katou as Sakurako Oomuro, Chiwa Saitou as Nadeshiko Oomuro and Rina Hidaka as Hanako Oomuro.
Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters and Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends are both opening in Japan in 2024. The films are based on the manga Oomuro-ke by Namori, began serialization in 2013 and has six tankoubon volumes as of December 2022. The series is published by Ichijinsha and is currently serialized on Yurihime@pixiv, following the lives of the Oomuro sisters. Sakurako was first introduced in the main YuruYuri manga series (also by Namori), which began in 2008 and has inspired various anime series and OVAs.
