One Piece may have revealed the true identity of the ultimate villain

Warning: There are spoilers for chapter #1084 of One Piece.A pieceThe final story of the story is filled with one big reveal after another, and chapter #1084 may have gone so far as to reveal the true identity of the ultimate villain, the “King of the Worlds.” Imu who might actually be the Queen Lily of the Alabasta Kingdom world. One of the most enigmatic characters introduced in recent years, Imu is the undercover king of the World Government and certainly a character that is considered the ultimate villain of the series. However, aside from their main roles in the story, nothing about Imu is explained; not their powers, not their motives and personalities, and even their genders are not specified, as all dialogue from and around Imu is completely gender neutral. count.

There are many mysteries surrounding Imu’s character, but chapter #1084 of One Piece may have revealed their true identities. During King Cobra’s encounter with the Five Elders, he mentions Nefertari Lily, Queen of the Alabasta Kingdom, founder of the World Government but refuses to move to Mary Geoise as a Celestial Dragon, and later That mysteriously disappeared before she could return. Alabasta. Lily is clearly related to Imu in some way, but rather than simply being an associate or enemy, there are several points in this chapter and others that suggest that Lily is her true identity. Imu. This idea isn’t necessarily true, but if it is, it would stand out as one of One Piece’s biggest revelations in years.

One Piece’s biggest hint that Imu is Nefertari Lily

The idea that Imu is Nefertari Lily seems odd, but One Piece has left many hints at that conclusion. For starters, chapter #1084 indicates that there are only 19 swords surrounding the empty Throne, symbolizing the vows of the original Heavenly Dragons to always share power, with Lily’s sword being the the 20th sword is missing. However, in chapter #908, Imu appears in his secret garden with a sword stuck in the floor, thus giving the biggest hint that the two characters are the same. Chapter #1084 also whitens Lily’s eyes in her silhouette, which creates a clear contrast with Imu’s eyes being their only detailed feature.

There are many other details that go along with the theory. For starters, Nefertari Lily’s crown is drawn with a dialogue bubble, suggesting that it may resemble the giant tiara worn by Imu. There’s also how the Flower Room seems to be filled with lilies and how Imu not only keeps a picture of Princess Vivi (who was a Straw Hat for a while) alongside pictures of big characters like Luffy, Blackbeard and Shirahoshi, which seem to specifically keep Vivi’s photo on them. Add to that the convenience of Lily disappearing soon after the World Government was established, and there are many opinions that Lily is the secret Imu.

Is Imu really Nefertari Lily (And what does that mean for One Piece)?

While much could be construed as suggesting that Imu is Nefertari Lily, that may not necessarily be the case. Things like Imu possessing what is likely Lily’s sword and having a particular interest in Vivi could simply suggest that Imu has a connection to Lily, possibly someone who was once a friend of Lily’s. her and possibly forced to kill her for the sake of the World Government. Not only that, it would be strange if the Five Elders showed disdain for the Nefertari family, as they did in the past, for not having become a Heavenly Dragon if a member of that dynasty were their king. . With all of that taken into account, the idea that Imu is Lily eventually becomes much less certain.

If this theory turns out to be true, it would have major implications for the future One Piece story. Not only does it completely change the Nefertari after years of the series establishing them as serious hero characters, but it also reveals the scope of Imu’s plans, as that means they’re the ones who worked on the series. almost a millennium. to try and control the world. Upcoming chapters of A piece will eventually dive into Imu’s character, so fans hopefully won’t have to wait long before learning the true identity of this final villain as Nefertari Lily.

The latest chapter of A piece available from Viz Media.
