The live-action ONE PIECE season 2 has been in full production since its announcement in September, and a new video is teasing the appearance of Galdino (Mr. 3). Producers previously said the script for the second season is ready and production could last 12 to 18 months after the SAG-AFTRA strike ends. In the initial announcement, Chopper's introduction was also revealed.
The new video debuted on May 5, Luffy's birthday. Iñaki Godoy brought out a cake that looked like a candle, with three recognizable words on top. This character uses the Doru Doru no Mi (Wax Wax Fruit) devil fruit and you can watch the introduction video below.

ONE PIECE Live-Action Galdino (Mr. 3) Teaser in Luffy's Birthday Video
The live-action series stars Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD, Luke Cage) and Steven Maeda (The X-Files, CSI: Karenmi, Lost) as writers, executive producers and showrunners. MC. Creator Eiichiro Oda is also one of the show's executive producers. We also got the chance to interview the Director of Photography for the first 2 episodes, Nicole Hirsch Whitaker, and we talked a little about the production, cast, staff, challenges, fun and more again. Check out the full interview to know more.
The first season debuted on August 31 and topped Netflix's Global English TV Charts with 18.5 million total views, 140.1 million watch hours and an average runtime of 7:34 hour. It also held the top spot in its second week, marking great success for the adaptation.
The ONE PIECE manga series is written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda. The manga currently has 1113 chapters, while the anime adaptation has 1103 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and Crunchyroll streamed the anime. They describe the story:
Monkey. D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in his way of becoming king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is the captain who will never give up until he claims the greatest treasure on Earth: the legendary One Piece!
Next to Mr. 3 , which also leads some fans to believe that a third installment has been greenlit (think of Avatar directly announcing two more installments at the same time). ONE PIECE is definitely a bigger success, although we'll have to wait for future updates for that product.
