Garp, recently made an epic appearance with a shocking display of power that reflects the pivotal moment when Luffy earned his respect. Garp has always been a source of comedic entertainment, who is often said to be one of the strongest men who ever lived. In the world of One Piece, characters like Usopp and Buggy have proven how much weaker characters can build a formidable reputation. However, Garp recently confirmed that he’s not one of those characters, and that age doesn’t make his powers any less impressive.
After being captured by Blackbeard in One Piece and listening to Kuzan explain the details of the Navy’s SWORD division, Captain Koby was able to escape captivity. However, after helping to free other Fullalead prisoners and being cornered by countless enemies, members of SWORD arrived to save Koby. This includes Koby’s mentor and Legendary Hero, Vice Admiral Garp. Like Luffy’s epic entrance to Marineford in the air, Garp arrived at the enemy base on a large ship, but much lighter and landed much more brutally.
