The One Piece universe is vast, and there's always a ton of additional content related to the story released throughout the year. Whether in the form of Vivre Cards, books, or One Piece magazines, Oda never stops adding more depth and richer information to his work.
The question then arises whether what is added is part of the official story or not? Yes of course.
For example, Vivre Cards sometimes corrects some errors made by Oda's editor, and other times it provides some interesting details that Oda believes are not necessary to include directly in the manga.
Coming soon, there will be a new book about the character Zoro, swordsman of the Straw Hats, that will go deeper into exploring his life.
There's also issue 18 of One Piece magazine coming out soon, focusing on Zoro and Sanji. These two guys have had their own show since the beginning of the series and their relationship has gotten more interesting over time. They are rivals, but deep down, they both want to help Luffy become Pirate King. This version promises to bring a special highlight to them and how they contribute to Luffy's dream.
Furthermore, fans are waiting for more information about Zoro's book. Zoro has always been a beloved character, but some people think the plot is lacking. This new book will cover his life before joining Luffy's gang, when he was a feared bounty hunter in East Blue. Jun Esaka, who wrote Ace's book, is also in charge of this book and it looks like he will be supervised by Oda.
The book will feature illustrations by Nakamaru and it looks like it will be divided into two parts, just like Ace's book. There will be some revelations about Zoro's lineage, which is related to the Shimotsuki family in Wano.
What's interesting is that the book will be considered an official part of the story, as Oda has his eye on the project. This means fans can expect the Zoro book to have many elements related to the main story. And everyone is counting down the days to get their hands on the new One Piece magazine and Zoro's book.
