The official website for the anime adaptation of No Game No Life announced that the franchise will celebrate its 10th anniversary in a very special way. It is releasing another BOX Blu-ray in April this year. This “new” release will include all 12 episodes of the original series plus the previously released “No Game No Life Zero” movie.
The new release is titled “No Game No Life COMPLETE Blu-ray BOX”, which includes the aforementioned content, along with six OVA short episodes, a CD containing several radio shows from the franchise, promotional video for both series and opening soundtrack.
Even the “new” bonus images are listed depending on the store where fans purchased the pack. However, this publication is completely disappointing for such a big occasion as the 10th anniversary.
Yuu Kamiya began publishing the light novel through the MF Bunko J publisher in April 2012. His wife Mashiro Hiiragi began a manga adaptation of the story in January 2013 through Monthly Comic Alive magazine. But in November 2021, a new manga adaptation was made by Ryu Naitou, starting from the second volume of the original novel series.
The work inspired a 12-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse Studios, directed by Atsuko Ishizuka and written by Jukki Hanada, released in April 2014. Movie No Game No Life: Zero has the same production team and was released in Japan on July 15, 2017. Since then the franchise has had no more projects.
