On Twitter, Brashaad Mayweather clarified his previous comments about the production schedule of Netflix's live-action adaptation of “One Piece”.
Mayweather clarified that his previous statement was purely speculative and that Netflix has not yet made any decisions regarding the third season of the series.
Despite this clarification, it's clear that Netflix's “One Piece” is far from over. Since its debut last year, the live-action version has surpassed all expectations and become one of the most watched original series on Netflix.
After the success of the first season, a second season was quickly ordered. However, Mayweather's recent comments in an interview have sparked speculation about the possibility of back-to-back filming of parts two and three.
One Piece cast on Netflix introduces confirmation of season 3
During the interview, Mayweather, who played Patty in the first season, hinted at the possibility of filming for two consecutive seasons.
“We will see if they go back to that period or not because they are filming two seasons – part two and part three – which will be back soon,” he mentioned. So we'll see what happens.”
While this reveal has stirred excitement among fans, it is important to note that Netflix has only officially announced the second season of “One Piece.”
The streaming giant has not confirmed any plans for a third season. Given the success of the series, it seems unlikely that Netflix will keep such news under wraps. However, until Netflix or other official sources provide further clarification, fans can still speculate about the future of the series.

Currently, fans are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming second season, which will take on the Arabasta story after the East Blue story covered in the first season.
Production on season two is said to begin this summer, with June marking the expected start of filming.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding future seasons, fans remain hopeful for the continuation of “One Piece” on Netflix.
The series is based on the incredibly popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, and follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy as he sets out to become the pirate king and discover the legendary treasure known as “One Piece”.
