My Hero Academia is currently in the middle of its finale. So we finally get to see what happened to the main characters after the Final War ended. After learning the fate of popular villains like Shigaraki and Dabi, chapter 427 will confirm Chisaki's status.
Kai Chisaki is one of the most perverted villains in the series. The main antagonist of the Shie Hassaikai arc, he is the one who tortured and experimented on Eri for years to create Quirk-nullifying bullets.
After Deku defeated him, he spent some time in prison before escaping from Tartarus during the Supernatural Liberation War. He then made a contract with All For One and Lady Nagant to bring her to Deku.
He eventually lost to the young hero and expressed regret for defeating the previous boss of the Shie Hassaikai, also known as the Eight Religions – a Yakuza organization led by Overhaul. However, Deku said that he should regret what he did to Eri. Afterwards, Chisaki disappeared without a trace for a while.
Now, the villain is back in My Hero Academia chapter 427. Tsukauchi reveals to Deku and All Might that Chisaki was captured after the Final War ended. The former boss, who is also Eri's grandfather, has woken up from the coma that Chisaki put him in, thanks to some support items.
He visited Chisaki in prison and told him that the Shie Hassaikai had disbanded. He shared how disappointed he was with the villain for straying from the path of humanity. The old man reminded Chisaki not to forget the terrible things he did to Eri, although she would eventually forget him.
However, he also promised Chisaki that he would be by his side no matter what, and would continue to scold him until his death. It was a bittersweet ending for this hateful villain, who would spend the rest of his life in prison but would have the company of his beloved.
What Chisaki did to Eri was unforgivable. So this ending seems too lenient for a twisted villain like him. However, My Hero Academia is a story of hope and redemption. And Chisaki's fate reflects the spirit of the story.
