The film Gintama: Kintama Arc has revealed a new 60-second trailer ahead of its three-week theatrical run in Japan starting November 22. The season features 4 episodes (253-256) in the anime, focusing on Enter Sakata Kintoki, a blonde girl who looks like Gintoki. It will be re-edited for limited release and include new footage not included in the original television anime. You can watch the trailer below.

Gintama: Kintama Arc Movie – Anime Visual
The television anime adaptation for Gintama was animated by Sunrise until Season 4, which was when Bandai Namco Pictures took over. The anime has a total of 367 episodes, as well as many OVAs, movies, and special episodes. The latest part is the movie Gintama: The Very Final which was released in 2021.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English under the title Gin Tama, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime. The story follows Gintoki Sakata, a legendary samurai with a sweet tooth who now takes on odd jobs. Together with his new friends, he has many wacky adventures while facing his past and saving the world at the same time. The Kintama Arc focuses on Kintoki Sakata, a blonde girl who looks like Gintoki, who takes his place.
The franchise also has the Gintama: Ginpachi-Sensei anime in production, scheduled for release in October 2025.
