Voice actress Miho Okasaki will join the cast of the upcoming The New Gate anime as Yuzuha. Furthermore, she will also sing the ending theme song of the movie titled “Kanataboshi”.

Besides her upcoming role in The New Gate, Miho Okasaki is also known as Rimuru Tempest in That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime, Mary Hunt in My Next Life as a Villain: Every all roads lead to destruction!, and Miku Nishio from Ongaku Shojo. Her other anime roles include Teruko in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Memé Rudon in Monster Girl Doctor, Mao in The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, Saki Kodaka in Extreme Hearts, and Milly in A Playthrough of a Some Dude’s VRMMO Life. She will also voice Rosell Kischa in the upcoming anime As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World.
The New Gate anime, announced for November 2023, will be animated by Yokohama Animation Laboratory and Cloud Hearts. Tamaki Nakatsu is directing the series, with Hiroki Uchida in charge of series composition, Itsuki Takemoto designing the characters and Tatsuhiko Saiki, Yuya Mori, Misaki Tsuchida and Tsugumi Tanaka composing the music. Previously announced cast includes Kensho Ono as Shin, Asami Seto as Schnee Raizar and Tiera Lucent.
NEW GATE – Anime Teaser Visual
The anime is based on the light novel series by Shinogi Kazanami, which was first published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2013. AlphaPolis later published the series with illustrations by Makai no Junin, KeG and Akira Banpai began in December 2013. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Yoshiyuki Miwa and began serialization on AlphaPolis’ website in November 2014.
One Peace Books licensed the manga in English, describing the first volume as:
