Mayonaka Punch Anime's 2nd video reveals theme song, adds staff, to be released on July 8

Kadokawa and PA Works revealed the second promotional video for their original anime project Mayonaka Punch (Midnight Punch) on Sunday. The video reveals the anime's July 8 premiere, additional cast, staff, and a preview of Live's opening theme song “Gimi Gimi” (pronounced “ribu,” voiced by Fairouz Ai). ), Ichiko (voiced by Yuina Itō), Fū (voiced by Hina Yomiya), Tokage (voiced by Hitomi Ueda) and Yuki (voiced by Ai Kayano). The anime will premiere on July 8 on Tokyo MX and AT-X at 10:30 p.m. JST. The show will then air on BS11 at 11pm. JST, and on KBS Kyoto and Sun TV at 11 p.m. JST (effective 12 p.m. July 9).

The anime's six cast members were announced one day at a time from March 4 to 9. Previously announced cast members were Ikumi Hasegawa as Masaki and Fairouz Ai as Live (pronounced “ribu”). The anime “girls Comedy” revolves around Masaki, a member of the NewTuber group “Harakiri Sisters”, who was fired due to a certain incident. Wanting to return, Masaki met Live. The two girls have different goals but together make an intense comeback and aim to reach 1 million subscribers on NewTube.

The anime will reunite the main staff of Ya Boy Kongming! anime, including director Shū Honma, screenwriter Hideaki Shirasaka and studio PA Do. The project will also include a manga and a novel adaptation. The manga adaptation (Cube Arts) by Tomomi Usui launched in Kadokawa's Monthly Young Ace magazine on March 4. Tsuzuro Hibi is writing the novel, while Tsukasa Kotobuki is illustrating the novel.
