MAPPA's official YouTube channel has released a new trailer for the anime remake Ranma 1/2 upcoming.
The trailer focuses on the dynamic between Ranma and Akane, featuring the opening theme song “許婚っきゅん” (Iinazukkyun) performed by Ano. The J-pop artist is famous for performing the theme song of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction.
Anime remake Ranma 1/2 is set to premiere on October 5, 2024, and will stream on Netflix. Check out the trailer below.

The trailer was also released which previously revealed the cast that will be starring in the film.

Ranma and Akane's voice actors were previously announced. Kappei Yamaguchi and Megumi Hayashibara will voice the male and female versions of Ranma, reprising their roles from the previous adaptation. Meanwhile, Noriko Hidaka will return to voice Akane Tendo.

Originally created by Rumiko Takahashi, Ranma 1/2 It first aired as a television anime from 1989 to 1992. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday. Before Ranma 1/2Takahashi's anime Urusei Yatsura has also been remade.
The story falls into the realm of gender discrimination and follows Ranma Saotome, a high school martial artist who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water. His daily life with his fiancée Akane Tendo is filled with martial arts, love triangles, and humorous misunderstandings.
Over the years, Ranma 1/2 has been adapted into a movie, OVA, and even a live-action television series in 2011, starring Aragaki Yui as Akane.
