Magical Girl and Demon Review The Lieutenant Who Was an Archenemy Episode 2: We are witnessing a wholesome story of a badass hero and a good heroine. Let's see how the second episode plays out.
The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Were Once Archenemies Episode 1 Summary
The main character, Mimori, lives a double life: a convenience store clerk and a powerful magical girl. She easily defeats the dragon with a single blow. However, chaos ensues when she meets Mira, the evil king's right-hand woman. This encounter sparks an awkward yet captivating romance between the two supposed enemies.
The anime effortlessly blends humor and entertainment. Mira, the confused evil lieutenant, is comically torn between growing up and his newfound feelings for Mimori. Despite his background and evil deeds, he is infatuated with Mimori from their first meeting. Mimori, who became a magical girl due to financial difficulties, appreciates Mira's concern and is unfazed by their forbidden relationship, even enjoying the food he brings her during their meetings.
The animation is crisp and visually appealing, with vibrant colors and lighting. The heroine is irresistibly cute, and it's easy to empathize with Mira's feelings for her. The sweet dynamic between the main characters makes their relationship highly transferable. Both the opening and ending themes perfectly capture the mood of the film, enhancing the overall experience.

Review of Magical Girl and Evil Lieutenant, Once Archenemies Episode 2
We are back with another episode filled with sweet moments and heart-stopping situations. Our evil lieutenant is confronting the female lead, and that is nothing new to us. He was completely infatuated with her after seeing her for the first time while fighting against her. Since then, he has been trying his best to turn his sudden love into hatred, but he has not succeeded so far.
On top of that, after learning of our heroine Mimori’s miserable state, the evil Lieutenant Mira tries to feed on her at every opportunity. This time, the episode also opens with our hero acting very much like a stalker and trying to find any and all information he can about his newfound obsession. Sadly for him, there is very little information about her online and he doesn’t even know her real name.
So he kidnaps the best pastry chef and secures the best desserts so that he can give these gifts to Mimori. It was also during this meeting that he first saw her transform into a magical girl and bluntly asked her to do it again so that he could film her. However, his patience and resilience almost broke when Mimori offered to fix the shirt he had ruined not long ago. He knew that this scene was similar to the situation of newlyweds, and just thinking about it made him blush.
We also learn more about her very pitiful situation, where she has to work multiple part-time jobs. Not only that, the cat who bullied her into becoming a magical girl also made her a business card to sell massage services. This cat is definitely a shady person, and he is most likely also taking advantage of her by stealing all her money and cheating her.
Verdict
The episodes we see are all sweet, cute, and adorable. The one downside to this anime is that it is extremely short, only about 12 minutes, along with the opening and ending themes. We definitely need more interactions between the main characters, but these short moments add to the appeal of their relationship.
