Mackenyu, who plays Roronoa Zoro in One Piece Live-Actionrecently shared an update about the upcoming second season in an Instagram Live chat.
During the livestream, the actor hinted at a major improvement in the action sequences of One Piece Live-Action season 2, which promises to be much better than what was in season 1.
Additionally, Mackenyu commented on the live-action version of Tony Tony Chopper, calling the character very cute.
“We have a very cute role this time. Chopper is very cute,” he said.
Although details about Chopper's appearance have yet to be fully revealed, fans are eager to see how the character will be realized.
Following Mackenyu's revelation, fans have expressed their eagerness to see the actor perform without the restrictions that affected the first season.
The first season of One Piece Live-Action filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many believe that stunt work was limited in season 1 due to the pandemic, which only limited the action scenes.
This prevented Mackenyu from bringing his usual stunt team from Japan, resulting in slower-paced fight sequences when working with the team in South Africa.
According to fans, Godoy was also quite new to stunt work in the first season but is said to have put in more effort to hone his skills for season 2.
Furthermore, fans also recently got to see Mackenyu's physical transformation in Part 2.
His personal trainer, Lloyd Naicker, posted an image last month showing the actor's enhanced physique, with significantly larger muscles than in Part 1, suggesting a more intense and dynamic portrayal of Zoro in the new season.
One Piece Live-Action Season 2 will air in 2025 and will cover the arcs from Loguetown to Drum Island.

Part 1 of One Piece live action The adaptation premiered on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
Netflix is streaming the series exclusively, produced by Tomorrow Studios, a collaboration between producer Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios.
The first season of the series was the most-watched title on Netflix in the second half of 2023.
