Kaiju No 8 Episode 10 is very good in its storytelling and execution. Let's find out the details of episode 10 of this new movie.
Kaiju No 8 Episode 9 Summary
This episode begins with Captain Hoshina reflecting on recent events, especially the strangely human-like behavior of Kaiju Number 8 and Kaiju Number 9. He, like us, ponders the reasons behind these mutations. Meanwhile, Kafka spends some time relaxing on the rooftop, contemplating his responsibilities. As he heads towards his residence, he encounters a significant new threat.
Kafka witnesses a new batch of Kaiju descend on the base like a meteor shower. These Kaiju work together in an unusual way to destroy the Defense Force base. Kafka quickly realized something was wrong when he saw the usually solitary Kaiju attack all at once. This coordinated attack was orchestrated by a powerful Daikaiju, targeting Captain Hoshina, recognizing him as the currently strongest human.
While Hoshina fights the Daikaiju, the other soldiers are struggling until Kikoru suddenly appears. She dominated the battlefield, proving herself to be the third strongest person in their base. Together with Reno, she helps quell the chaos.
The highlight of the episode is definitely the fierce battle between Captain Hoshina and the new Kaiju. However, the outcome of the fight was surprising as the Kaiju evolved into something new.
Kaiju No 8 Episode 10 Review And Recap
Today's episode is the best of this season and I don't think any episode can reach this peak. Here we pick up where Vice Captain Hoshina is trying to fight the newly evolved Kaiju that has become much bigger than he can handle. We have seen him wield two short Katanas that he can use to slash and stab people to death.
But we must note that this kind of power is useless against a monster too large to be impaled. Thus, after the Kaiju re-formed itself, we see Hoshina struggling fiercely with this new opponent. In between, we also see some snippets of his childhood, where Hoshina is told his sword art is not enough for him to join the Self-Defense Forces.
All his life, he has heard these comments, and even then, he still did not lose faith and constantly tried and trained to become what he is today. The only person who truly believes in him is his captain, Mina, which is also why he respects her so much.
However, it was clear that this opponent was not suitable for him, and Kafka almost revealed himself just to protect his vice-captain. Thankfully, that didn't happen, as the Captain ended up saving the world with his immense strength and perfect aim. Alas, all would have ended well if that had been the case.
Sadly, the final event that transpired shocked viewers to their core and ended the episode on an extremely exciting note. As usual, the animation is really good for this episode. The music is also used very nicely and it fits whatever is happening on screen. This episode also doesn't feel like it skipped the plot, and when it ends, you're satisfied but still looking forward to the next episode.
Identify
I really loved this episode and it definitely made Kaiju #8 one of my favorites this season. It's sad to think that we'll only have two more episodes, then we'll have to wait for the second season.
