HIDIVE has announced that it has acquired the original anime Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night and will stream it as an exclusive simulcast in its Spring 2024 lineup. They will hold the North American premiere of volumes 1 and 2 on March 29 at Anime Boston 2024 ahead of the April premiere. Studio Doga Kobo is handling the animation, with Ryohei Takeshita as director.

The streaming platform recently launched a newly redesigned website and app. Regarding the new acquisition, John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, said:

In addition to director Ryohei Takeshita, the Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night anime production staff includes JELLE as creator, and lowest-level Tomozaki author Yuki Yaku as scriptwriter and music composer for the series. . Illustrator popman3580 designed the characters, while Junichiro Taniguchi adapted them for the anime.
