Review by Moeka Shiotsuka/Hitsujibungaku
When choosing the ending theme, I read the manga version of “Jujutsu Kaisen” over and over again.
The process of making this movie with songs was difficult, but I was encouraged and strengthened many times by the attitudes of characters like Itadori. I think the song turns out to be something that gives you the strength to take one last step when you’re on the verge of loss. I am so grateful to have had such a challenging opportunity.
This year saw Hitsujibungaku’s latest album “our Hope” win the “Blue” award at the 15th CD Shop Awards, while also continuously releasing new songs, specifically “Eien no Blue” and “FOOL ”. In July, they performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’23 and marked an exceptionally captivating audience for a band appearing on the Green Stage during the day. They also performed their first overseas spotlight shows in Taipei and Shanghai. Both shows sold out shortly after their release. They also perform at outdoor music festivals in Hong Kong, Inch and Wenzhou; they get a lot of attention from abroad, mainly from Asia. This month, the band will begin a nationwide headlining tour across 10 cities and 12 shows called “Hitsujibungaku Tour 2023: if i were an angel,”.

Introduction to “Shibuya Incident”
Who laughs last, human, or – the curse?
“Satoru Gojo, challenge the seal at the right time and place, after the advantage is established on this side. D-day takes place on October 31, in Shibuya.”
October 2018. Amid rising tensions within Jujutsu Academy since special-class Cursed Souls attacked a meeting event, the traitor has finally revealed himself. Who is the traitor and for what purpose!?
October 31, 2018. A “screen” suddenly projected onto the bustling Shibuya Station area on Halloween, blocking many ordinary people inside.
With the villains’ advanced barrier technique being “a curtain that only traps civilians” and indicating “Satoru Gojo will be taken there”, an order given by civilians, the executives decided to have Gojo suppress the scene in Shibuya himself to minimize the damage.
Geto, Mahito, and other Curse Users and Cursed Souls lie in ambush with a trap; Gojo himself enters the scene; Itadori, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, Nanami and many other Jujutsu Mages gathered outside the “screen”…
An unprecedented all-out curse battle between Jujutsu Mages against Curse Users and Curse Spirits, all gathered in Shibuya, will finally begin!
