Japanese publisher KADOKAWA made an exciting announcement on May 2, revealing that Ichiei Ishibumi's popular light novel series High School DxD has reached a major milestone with a total of 7.8 million copies sold. in print globally, including digital, as of April 2024.
High School DxD, launched under KADOKAWA's Fantasia Bunko label in September 2008, has continued to captivate readers with its engaging storyline and vibrant characters.
Following the conclusion of the original series with its 25th volume in March 2018, a sequel titled Shin High School DxD was launched in July of the same year, with four volumes having been released to date.
Translated into multiple languages such as English, Korean, Chinese and Thai, the series has attracted a global following, further cementing its status as a beloved series.
Author Ichiei Ishibumi expressed sincere gratitude for the enormous support, emphasizing the importance of achieving such a remarkable milestone.
