Anime Grand Blue Season 2 has finally been renewed. With new details from the makers, here's everything you need to know about the sequel.
Grand Blue Season 2 Grand Blue's long-awaited release has officially been announced, six years after the end of Part 1. This exciting news was revealed during a special radio program marking the 10th anniversary of the manga's launch. Grand Blue, much to the delight of fans as they have been eagerly awaiting the return of this beloved series.
The production team behind the first season will return for the sequel, with Shinji Takamatsu reprising his roles as director, screenwriter and sound director. Hideoki Kusama will return as character designer and chief animation director, while Yoichi Ueda will also serve as chief animation director. Studios ZERO-G and Liber teamed up once again to handle animation production.
A teaser image has been released, with the main characters in celebratory poses, marking the series' exciting return. Along with this announcement comes additional staffing details for Grand Blue Season 2 has been revealed. Reiko Kasuga will serve as art director and Yukari Hashimoto will compose the music, ensuring that the creative energy that made the first film a success remains intact.
Fans will be delighted to know that the original voice cast from Season 1 will reprise their roles. Includes Yuma Uchida as Iori Kitahara, Ryohei Kimura as Kouhei Imamura and Chika Anzai as Chisa Kotegawa. Other returning actors include Hiroki Yasumoto, Katsuyuki Konishi, Toa Yukinari, Maaya Uchida and Kana Asumi, all of whom play important roles in the series' humorous and chaotic moments.
Grand Blue Dreaming, commonly known as Grand Blue, is a popular Japanese manga series written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. The series was serialized in Good! Kodansha's Afternoon from 2014. It was first adapted into an anime in 2018, produced by ZERO-G and aired from July to September of that year. The manga has also been licensed in English by Kodansha, allowing international fans to follow this fun story.
The series follows Iori Kitahara, a young man who moves to a seaside town to attend college and ends up working at his uncle's dive shop. The story emphasizes Iori's chaotic, alcohol-filled college life, where he forms bonds with a group of wild friends while studying diving.
