It takes will and skill to create this ball
Who knew a dessert as small as a sesame ball could be this delicious and detailed?! The Good Smile Company website opened pre-orders for the StudioSYUTO Sesame Ball Resin Model, complete with over 900 parts, on Friday. If you’re planning on making replicas of this sweet snack while your mouth watering, get ready to piece together 900 tiny sesame seeds.

The set costs 1,540 yen (about $10.30), and includes 900 sesame seed parts, a bean pusher (not visible during assembly), and the replica’s outer shell. Plastic model adhesive and pliers required for assembly are sold separately.

Each kit only comes with one sesame ball, so if you want to make a dessert set, you can order up to three kits, but if there are more than that, your order will be cancelled. Pre-orders can be placed until November 30 at 12:00 noon. JST and Sesame Ball Plastic Model will release in March 2024.
Go ahead and see which gives in first: your munchkin dessert cravings or your hand at gathering all those sesame seeds together.
