Jujutsu Kaisen fans catch Geto lying about the Prison Kingdom
In the immediate moments after Satoru Gojo is sealed inside the Realm Prison, our ragtag group of villains are celebrating their epic victory and just for a second, take their eyes off the ball…Or the box.
The prison realm, now the size of Pseudo-Geto’s palm, turned a sickly gray and fell to the ground with such force that it shattered the concrete of Shibuya Station’s floor.
While each Cursed User expressed shock at seeing the Prison Realm not only able to move on its own but trapped underground, the importance of such a reaction was not lost on Psuedo- Geto, who takes advantage of the opportunity to engage his fellow villains.
He explains how the Prison Kingdom reacted this way because it needed time to process the ‘infinite’ amount of energy and information needed to seal Satoru Gojo and that he had to avoid the coming war. Come with the Jujutsu Mages to protect the Prison Kingdom.
However, this is not entirely true: the Prison Kingdom itself is being overwhelmed by Gojo’s power and Geto worries that the seal will not be able to hold his old ‘friend’, even knowing that power can can endure.
This contradiction between ‘processing’ and ‘overwhelming’ is evidenced in the next frame which shows the Prison Kingdom’s eyes beginning to water and close, as the Cursed Object appears in a state I can’t believe how painful it is.
One theory, taken from the manga, is that “kenjaku used gravity to force the disaster family to believe that the prison kingdom needed to ‘deal with gojo satoru’, i.e. tampering with the movement, and Pseudo-Geto himself was considered “the pure definition of a scammer. ”
“It was all to further deceive them that he had to stay and couldn’t join one of them. Furthermore, Mahito is the only one who realized this lie.”
However, eagle-eyed fans have now quashed this theory, reply: “The anime makes it clear that this is not the case. The prison kingdom was clearly overwhelmed, that was really hot lol and those eyes were crying. The prison kingdom needs time to deal with Gojo.”
If the Prison Realm was as powerful as Pseudo-Geto claimed, he wouldn’t have been so shocked when it hit the floor – proving that it was Gojo’s incredible power that troubled the Cursed Object.
Similarly, his statement that the Prison Kingdom would not be able to move due to its weight (including the kingdom and Gojo), shows that there is much more at play than simple imprisonment – Pseudo- Geto has something else in hand.
Unfortunately, Jujutsu Kaisen fans should prepare themselves for a long wait for Gojo’s anime return, with some speculating that we may not see Sensei return until 2027 or 2028.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 airs weekly as a simulcast title via Crunchyroll.
