In an interview with Vogue about his new film Heart of Stone, Gal Gadot shared his views on Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. Accordingly, the actress wishes to change the view of this legendary Queen in the eyes of the public.
“If Wonder Woman is a powerful imaginary female leader, Cleopatra is a real person. It’s a perfect example of the story I wanted to tell. Because of the various books I read about Cleopatra, it’s true. all I see portrayed is that she is a charming woman who has an affair with Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony,” the actress shared.
However, with Gal Gadot, the actress wanted to portray Cleopatra with the image of someone ahead of her time.
“The Egypt in general and the Egypt of that era in particular still have many things ahead of us today. For me, I am passionate about telling the story of the Queen of Egypt and bringing justice to the character. this as well as the legacy she left behind,” Gal Gadot said.
“We have a great script and I can’t wait to share this story with the world,” continued the actress, “It’s a completely different story, changing the audience’s perspective that Cleopatra is more than just a character. a charming person”.
Movie Heart of Stone It is expected to be officially released on August 11th.
