X's official account Frieren: Beyond Journey's End confirmed the production of a second season of the anime with teaser images and an announcement video on September 28, 2024.

The second season will once again be produced by Madhouse.
Creators Yamada and Abe expressed their thanks to fans and the anime production team in a joint statement: “The second season of the TV anime has been confirmed! It's all thanks to everyone's support. We are extremely grateful to the anime production team for creating such a wonderful anime. As a viewer, we are excited to see Frieren's journey continue. We look forward to your continued support for'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.'”
Season 1 of the anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024, with Keiichiro Saito as director, script supervised by Tomohiro Suzuki, and character design by Reiko Nagasawa.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End began serialization in Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday manga magazine, Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020, with the chapters collected into 13 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
By June 2024, the manga had more than 22 million copies in circulation.
The series is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media and in Southeast Asia by Shogakukan Asia.
