Yuki Yase is directing the Undead Unluck anime, animated by David Production and based on the manga of the same name by Yoshifumi Tozuka. The manga began serialization in January 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. VIZ Media licensed the film in English and describes the premise as:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shoujo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy knocks her off her feet—literally! Now she becomes Andy’s reluctant test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of bad luck big enough to kill him forever. However, when the two discover a secret organization is hunting them, Andy’s burial plans are postponed.
